DEALING WITH SELF REJECTION

DEALING WITH SELF REJECTION

This post is in honor of two BIG milestones in my life.

  1. Getting coached by Christine Hassler, on her podcast, Over It and On With It, which went live EXACTLY 1 year ago today. https://christinehassler.com/2017/09/episode107/

  2. Overcoming self rejection.

I came to Christine trying to figure out why I just never felt satisfied with my jobs. I would get one good job after another and yet I never felt satisfied and always thought about quitting, like always!

It was wasn’t until I discussed my parent’s divorce with Christine that we connected the dots.

Parents get divorced - - > started partying - - > sleeping around - - > Chlamydia

After my parents got divorced when I was 16, I went crazy. All I wanted to do was go to parties and get drunk every weekend. Before that point I was the ultimate good girl - a virgin, straight A student and athlete, church goer and the whole 9 yards. After the divorce though, I felt sooo lost and just didn’t know how to handle it.

So, I ran to boys and booze.

Self reject was the the result of me running to external sources to make myself feel better internally.

I dealt with self reject for 10 YEARS, before even realizing it. Can you believe that?!

Long story short, after Christine gave me this huge AHA moment, I took massive action to focus on myself, and since then I haven’t stopped. I have dedicated a year to self-love, healing, mediation and forgiveness.

And I am now so so satisfied with my job, myself and my life!

Anything is possible.

Like Christine said,

“The issue is the way that you look at the issue”.

I promise you that if you change your perspective on a perceived “issue” in your life, it will dissipate or immensely decrease in severity.

If you are going through a tough time, this is your reminder that you are loved and YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT.
